The close of the battle, or the champion triumphant... 1. Round. Sparring for one minute. Cribb made play right & left a right handed blow told slightly on the body of Molineaux who returned it on the head a rally followed, the Black knocked down by a hit on the throat 2 Cribb shewed first blood from the mouth, a dreadfull rally Cribb put in a good body hit returned by the Moor on the head closeing, Cribb thrown 3 Crib’s right eye nearly closed, another ally, the Black defficent in wind receives a doubler in the body, Cribb damaged in both eyes & thrown. 4 Rally hits exchanged, Crib fell with a slight hit and manifested first weakness 5 Rallying renewed Crib fell from a blow & received another in falling, 6 Black fatigued by want of wind a blow at the body mark doubles him up & is floored by a hit at great length. 7 Black runs in intemperately, receives several violent blows about the neck & juggler, falls from weakness 8 Black rallies. Cribb nobbs him gets his head under his left arm & jibbed till the moor fell 9 Black runs in met with a left handed blow which broke his jaw and fell like a log 10 Black with difficulty made an unsuccessful effort & fell from distress. 11 this round ended the fight Black received another knock down, & unable again to stand up
