Irish-American boxer Jack McAuliffe (1886-1937) was known as a strong, two-handed fighter with "cat-like" reflexes. Fighting out of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, he was one of only nine boxers to remain undefeated throughout his career. He was lightweight champion of the world from 1886 to 1893.
