Vintage silver print photograph of Stephen Tennant. This image, reprinted by Tennant from an earlier image, was given to Gavin Stamp, the writer and architectural historian, who worked for Apollo and Country Life. Tennant writes on the reverse of image ‘For Dear Gavin- May I have one of you please ? To you, Blessings Illimitable-Stephen May 7th 1988’.

Tennant in fact, died in 1987. It is suggested that Tennant meant to write 1980.
